Purpose Statement

PR and COMMS Manager is expected to maintain a positive reputation of Prerona brand, create and promote the public image of the foundation. He is also responsible for developing communication strategies for media relations as well as maintaining a strategic relationship among the Governing body, the Advisory Council & Prerona.

Key Accountabilities

• Key contact person on behalf of Prerona for public domain
• Manage Prerona website and social media page with up to date contents
• Manage external crisis situations (e.g. negative publicity by LEA)
• Prepare communication strategy for Prerona
• Prepare content for press release, communication kit for webpage etc., coordinating with relevant agencies as per need (e.g. video making, photoshoot etc.)
• Arrange events/seminars on behalf of Prerona
• Work with Projects Managers to prepare Prerona Project narratives

Qualifications/ Profile

• Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree. Preferred: English, Journalism, Mass Communication
• Work experience in media agencies/media outlets/development sector communications wing
• 5+ years (minimum) of work experience in relevant area

Required skills/experiences

• Coordination with multiple agencies
• Networking with Journalists
• Excellent in verbal and written communications in Bangla and English
